Petar Ivanovic
Dr Petar Ivanovic is professor at the private University UDG and CEO of the Montenegrin Investment Promotion Agency (MIPA). Over the last decade he has been head of two research institutions (the Center for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development - CEED and the Institute for Strategic Studies and Prognoses - ISSP). As a persistent proponent of lower taxes, deregulation and free trade he has managed a large number of economic projects and research projects mostly in Montenegro, but also in Afghanistan and Kosovo. Dr Ivanovic is the founder and Vice President of the first private chamber of commerce in Montenegro – the Montenegro Business Alliance. He served as a board member of the first brokerage house in Montenegro, the private stock exchange, several private companies and was Vice President of Hypo Alpe Adria Bank in Montenegro. From 2008-2010 he worked as Chief Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Mr. Milo Djukanovic. He is author of three books, one textbook and over a hundred articles. He is member of the Mont Pelerin Society, the Philadelphia Society, the Global Development Network and is listed on the Heritage Foundation expert list. Dr Ivanovic is an honorary citizen of Indianapolis, Indiana. He played basketball and volleyball and served as President of the Montenegro Tennis Association.
